About Me

Hesci! Cass cvhocefkv tos.

My name is Cass and I serve as a mentor for various sections of the AIR Program. I recently graduated from San Diego State University with two BAs in English and American Indian Studies. I am now working on an MA in Rhetoric & Writing Studies: The Teaching of Writing. After I am finished, I intend to seek a PhD in American Indian Studies with a possible emphasis in gender studies.

I am NGE (non-government enrolled) Mvskoke, Lakota and Irish. I am married and have two dogs: Waylon and Merle. My husband and I enjoy traveling around the country as much as we can, especially to visit the homes of authors we both admire. We also like hiking and birding. When I'm not buried beneath my studies, I spend a great deal of time maintaining my humble garden of succulents and Native California plants. I also grow a great deal of the veggies and fruits we eat.
